Parent of children in the system

As the parent of children currently in the DDSB system, Melike knows how meaningful it is to have strong support and advocacy on the Board representing the best interests of all our children – particularly those with special learning needs.  No child should ever be left to fall behind.

Please see Advocacy and Media page for more information on community engagement.

Role of DDSB Trustee

School trustees are an important link between school boards and the public. Trustees are elected every 4 years during municipal elections. Their role is to be available to taxpayers, parents and other community members to address any concerns they have with the public school system.
